![]() I then noticed the useful integrations were open-source 'community integrations' and found that odd, considering the marketing. It was then I started to look at integrating accounts (Origin, Ubisoft Connect (it's been so long that when I last use Ubisoft's client, it was still called uPlay), etc.) that I'd not used in years because of the hassle of having multiple pieces of software doing the same thing. Galaxy 2.0Moving forward a few months and I finally downloaded Galaxy 2.0, installed it, and thought the layout looked great. I was incredibly excited about it to the point where I built a new PC (5900X/RTX 3080) that could handle games I own with the intention of using GOG Galaxy 2.0 and Steam (Steam for Steam, and Galaxy for everything else). GOG Galaxy 2.0 was marketed as the way to solve that by integrating all mainstream platforms into a single interface. Flair Selector: Flair NameĬontextI've used Steam for 17 years and seen it progress over time, but also seen EA, Ubisoft, Epic, Microsoft and others create their own applications, meaning to play the games I've purchased I have to log in to five+ different platforms. And I don't think my number of games on GOG is so high that it could create those problems.A good resource for PC gaming is the PC Gaming Wiki. I guess it has something to do with the sheer number of games I have on all my accounts but when I first start it, it only should import my GOG games. I don't know what to do because whatever I do, whatever I try, Galaxy 2.0 crashes everytime after max 30 seconds after I start it. At least I don't know if there is another way of downloading all your stuff from GOGs servers without using the Galaxy client. If they disable the old GOG Galaxy aka 1.x and make GOG Galaxy 2.0 mandatory, as it is now, I will no longer be able to download my games. I fear for the worst when it will be released. I can't get to settings, I can't do anything, Galaxy 2.0 just crashes. I can't even send crash reports because as soon as I press "Send", the crash report window itself crashes. It runs for a maximum of 30 seconds, than it crashes. When nowadays I do a fresh install of GOG Galaxy 2.0 after I made sure that there are no more files left from a previous install, it always - and I repeat: ALWAYS - crashes directly after I start it. And I fear for the worst when it will be released. Now it has reached the point that GOG Galaxy 2.0 is flat out unusable for me. With each update, my experience with it got worse. I tested GOG Galaxy 2.0 since the technical alpha.
